Reno Omokri: says Boko Haram may hoist flag in villa soon.

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has said that the Boko Haram insurgents may soon hoist their flag at the Presidential Villa.

Omokri made the prediction while reacting to the attempted robbery at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday.

There was a robbery attempt at the residence of Ibrahim Gambari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock on Monday.

Confirming the attack, Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu on his verified Twitter handle, said it was unsuccessful.

“The Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00 am this morning but it turned out to be unsuccessful”, Mr Garba tweeted.

The human right activist said the incident is an indicator of the possibility that Boko Haram terrorists can takeover the Presidential Villa as done in some parts of Niger State.

He urged Nigerians, not to expect protection from the president owing to his inability to prevent such attacks.

Omokri in a post on his verified Facebook page said Nigeria needs a new president to save the country.

The post reads: “First Aisha Muhammadu Buhari and Tunde Sabiu Yusuf were engaged in a shoot out at Aso Rock.

“Then robbers raid the Chief of Staff’s house right in the middle of Aso Rock.

“What is to stop Boko Haram from hoisting their flag there next? We already know, from the Governor of Niger, that Boko Haram has already hoisted their flag in Niger State, which is two hours from Abuja.

“If General Muhammadu Buhari cannot protect Aso Rock, you will be foolish to expect him to protect you.

“Nigeria needs a new leader, or there may be no Nigeria soon”.
