A gas explosion has rocked Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos with many people said to be injured.

The incident occurred around 7.00pm at Iyasoko Street, Agboju, Amuwo Local Government Area of Lagos on Tuesday.

A gas tank was said to have exploded, with balls of fire emanating from the affected building.

Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, are said to be on their way to the scene of the incident.

Nosa Okunbor, LASEMA’s spokesman confirmed the incident but said no details were available at the moment and promised to get back.

  1. This is the type of issues where the Yorubas should make available its much touted technology. Even if there is a gas explosion, there shouldn’t be many injured people.
    I am saying this against the background that many people are dying everytime as a result of engaging in illicit affairs with married women in Yorubaland. Why not use such technology in averting dangers such as fire or gas explosions?
    If a woman is found to be adulterous, why not ask for a divorce instead of taking someone’s life?
