Nasarawa governor to make state broadcasting outfit world-class

Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has promised to make the state-owned broadcast station, Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS), a world-class media organization.

The governor spoke on Thursday in Lafia when he received members of the Board of the organisation in Government House.

Sule said that to attain the contemporary rating, the station would be adequately equipped, while the staff would be trained.

The governor also disclosed that he had given approval for the auctioning of the station’s unserviceable vehicles but warned that the exercise must be carried through laid down procedures.

Earlier, the Chairman of the board, Mr Raphael Dogara, commended the governor for dedicating time and resources to making NBS an outfit to reckon with.

Dogara also lauded him for appointing a professional to man the outfit and appealed to the governor to extend the ongoing renovation at the NBS main complex to the station at Keffi.
