With the increasing rate of insecurity in Nigeria, stakeholders have called for improved knowledge of community Policing in order to reduce security challenges in the country.

The National Chairman of Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC), Alhaji Farooq Maiyama implored all Nigerians during a capacity building Workshop for Southwest community leaders held in Abeokuta not to allow themselves to be used to promote insecurity or bridge of law and order of the country.

The South-West Chairman Alhaji Ibraheem Olaniyan said the police were doing their best to fish out killer herdsmen.

He, however, appealed to hoteliers to join hands with PCRC to fish out criminals in Nigeria.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun said he hoped the training would help to improve the key center of PCRC for effective services delivery as it collaborated in maintaining and preventing crime law and order in the country.

One of the Participants, a business mogul Adetola Emmanuel-King said insecurity was seriously affecting businesses and economy of the country but expressed hope that the country would get out of the problem.

Community leaders, youths, and traditional leaders were advised to see security as collective responsibility of all and not the job of security agencies only.
