Ibrahim Gambari, Chief of Staff to the President, and Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity were among top government officials that received the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on Monday.
Gambari was vaccinated about 10:28 am at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Similarly, the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Gen. Bba Marwa (retd) also received the vaccine around 10:39 am while the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Tijjani Umar, got his at bout 10:43 am.
All the government officials were vaccinated by The Chief Nursing Officer of the State House Clinic, Esther Ibrahim.
The Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari in his remark encouraged Nigerians to receive the vaccine noting that it was safe and painless.
Gambari also said he followed the footstep of the president and his vice who demonstrated leadership by receiving the jabs publicly.
