Kwara governor appoints seven special advisers

The governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has appointed seven special advisers.

Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, made the announcement in a statement issued on Friday in Ilorin.

The special advisers are Brigadier General Tunde Bello, (RTD) Security; Professor Adekunle Dunmade, (Health); Ahmed Yinka Aluko, (Special Duties); and Attahiru Ibrahim, (Sports & Youths).

Also appointed are former Special Adviser Political, Saadu Salaudeen, now Special Adviser Strategy, while the former Special Adviser Strategy, Abdullateef Alakawa, is now the new Special Adviser Political.

According to the statement, Mr Bashir Adigun, a senior journalist, has also been appointed as the special adviser political communications to the governor.

Adigun was until his new appointment, was the controller of news and current affairs (Northern Nigeria) for Channels TV, and Abuja correspondent for a leading global Newswire, Associated Press.

He also worked as a reporter and researcher at the Guardian Newspapers.
