The six-man herdsmen who operated on three motorcycle, had invaded Eko- Oghenyen-Ahia-Udakpa communities, in the wee hours of Thursday.

One of the marauders died from gun injuries he sustained in the ensuing gun duel between them and the vigilante group.

On sighting the vigilante men, the herdsmen were said to have opened fire at them, and the vigilantes returned fire for fire.

It was further gathered that the herdsmen succumbed to the superior fire power of the vigilantes and fled.

The unrelenting vigilantes, however, gave them a hot chase, with continued exchange of gun fire, and in the process.

One of the herdsmen who sustained serious gun injuries, died while being taken to the hospital by the vigilante men.

Other fleeing herders, however, escaped with varying degrees of gun injuries.

Items recovered from the bandit include one unmarked motorcycle, one AK-47 assault multipurpose rifle with 20 live ammunition and charms.

‎Meanwhile, the corpse of the dead herdsman is said to have been deposited in the mortuary by men of Ubiaja Divisional Police Station.

  1. Multi million Kudos to the valiant vigilante group. More grease to their elbows! How can you leave your own region and come to my own home not only to destroy my own source of livelihood (farms) but also to kill, rape and kidnap me and my family? Is that the definition of federalism?

  2. Yet southwest Governors are having dialogue and bowing down to MACBAN instead of supporting Sunday Igholo. Shame shame on them. Fulanis are cowards, they will always run when they face real fights. They only prey on defenseless citizens. Just deep the bullets n pigs blood and waste the douche bags.

  3. This is another Jihad war which was carried out Usman Danfodio many years ago. His descendants are doing it now, but they will fail woefully.

  4. it should be clear to all that this fulani animals are ordinary cowards who only are daring when facing defenseless people when challenged by equally armed group they flee or loose if they dare stand.

kudos to the people of esan south example to other tribes
