Senator Shehu Sani
Shehu Sani, former Kaduna Central Senator, has faulted the quit notice issued to Fulani herdsmen by the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Sani said the quit notice order by Akeredolu was wrong.
Governor Akeredolu had issued an ultimatum to Fulani herdsmen to vacate Ondo forest reserves.
The Governor had said all unregistered herders should vacate the state’s forest reserves.
But the presidency had condemned the ultimatum issued by Akeredolu, with President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu calling for restraint.
However, the former lawmaker in a post on his Facebook wrote: “My Dear Governor Akeredolu, I’m quite aware of the security challenges facing your state. I appreciate your efforts, but it’s outrightly and completely wrong to ask all cattle herders to leave Ondo forests.
“The sins of a criminal few should not affect the law-abiding and peaceful ones who have the right to live and move freely in all parts of our country.
“Efforts must continue to be made to deal with those who breach the law, while and respecting and protecting the rights of the innocent.”

While I respect the likes of Sehu Sanni but it is the man with the shoe that knows where it pinches. Sanni should travel round the Yorubaland to know the atrocities the Fulani’s are committing. Just yesterday a woman was attacked by Fulani mauraders in Yewa North Local govt. Ogun State. The Fulani’s are getting bold day by day. The Yoruba’s should say no this time around. Mr Sanni, we cannot fold our hands and become typical Hausas who had been overrun by the Fulani’s. We are ready to liberate ourselves.
Shehu Sanni, You people are the brain behind herder misbehavior in the Country. In fact the governor did not need to argue with you, he should just go ahead and send Executive Bill on Anti Open Grazing Bill to the state assembly for immediate execution and implementation and let see whether your brothers will still have the temerity of staying in the forest again and what you will say again.
ICHEOKU says in that case why not the “law abiding and peaceful ones” pony up the “criminal few” amongst them? But as with all these mallams, they only speak when action is being taken but maintain conspirators silence when the nefarious activities of their kith and kins are going on. If it was the other way round, they would have since ejected all Southerners from the North. Just see what their Hisbah police is doing to people selling alcoholic beverages in the North and their antagonistic inclination towards Christians. But hey, if only disdain for the Fulani marauders would help unite the South that will be a good outcome.
Do we hv southerners living in forest up north?? Get those bugs out of our forest, why can’t they live like normal people?? They hv been asked to get out the forest not get out of ondo state!! Try get those people wit hidden agendas to understand the difference here!! They are slowly setting up ruga in our forest, before u kno it, they are asking for their own state!!
