Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has congratulated the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji on his 50th birthday celebration.
Governor Ikpeazu in a message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, described the Speaker as a “worthy partner in progress in his quest to provide credible and result-oriented leadership to the people of Abia State.
“Since his emergence as the Speaker of the Seventh Abia State House of Assembly, the wheels of cooperation and strategic synergy between the Executive and Legislative arms of our Government have remained consistently well lubricated resulting in a seamless and well-coordinated relationship for the good of our State.
“At both the official and personal levels, Rt Hon. Chinedum Orji and I enjoy a deliberately robust friendship, built on mutual trust, respect and confidence, which have greatly and positively impacted on the governance of our state.
“Hitting the half-century mark in your life’s journey here on earth is, by all means, a landmark achievement for which you should be deeply thankful to God Almighty and especially for making you a strong rallying point for a great number of our people”.
The Governor joined the Orji family, the people of Umuahia Central State Constituency, the entire members of the Seventh Abia State House of Assembly, and indeed, the entire people of Abia State to celebrate the Speaker and Head of the legislative arm of the Government.
Ikpeazu wished Mr. Speaker a beautiful birthday and prayed the Almighty God to grant him good health, excellent spirit, and many more years of service to the people.
In the same vein, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Barrister Chris Ezem has felicitated with the Speaker.
Ezem, in a warm message on Friday, said the Speaker had provided massive infrastructure and basic amenities for the people of Umuahia North State constituency, Abia Central and Abia State in general.
According to the message, “Mr. Speaker, we celebrate your selfless and purposeful leadership, Iconic disposition and philanthropism which are characteristic of your humble personality. You are indeed a Pillar and Beacon of Hope for the needy and the less privileged.
Your sense of humour is unparalleled and legendary. Your Youth Empowerment Scheme is all-encompassing and unprecedented, particularly with your direct touch approach.
“As you relish with delight, all the sentiments and euphoria that comes with epochal events such as this, may you reflect more on the need to sustain your acclaimed goodwill and philanthropism in Abia State.
“While wishing you and your family divine wisdom, excellent health and God’s protection at all times, accept, once again, on behalf of my Family, Management, and Staff of the Office of Secretary to Abia State Government, our hearty felicitations, “Barrister Ezem concluded.
