Osaze Odemwingie – Kanu and Amara
Ex Super Eagles Captain, Nwankwo Kanu has reacted to a call out by his former Super Eagles teammate, Osazie Odemwingie, in which he accused his wife, Amara Kanu, of wooing him via social media.
Odemwingie took to Instagram yesterday to make it clear that he’s not interested in whatever Amara Kanu is pestering him for.
He shared: “How can a wife of a legend like @kingkanu4 be chasing me for a chat relentlessly (check ur DM check your DM) na by force?”
He added: “@amarakanu. Your husband has my number and it’s not in our culture to msg another man without asking your husband.”
In another post, he said: “@amarakanu If your hello can’t be public it’s probably not just a hello. Mine is #nigeria #naija LUKE 10:19.”
Reacting to the accusation, Amara Kanu in Osaze’s comment section wrote that her husband is aware of whatever he thinks she’s up to.
“@odemwingie_81 oh no no no. Kindly take this post down. @kingkanu4 is fully aware of this. We want to talk to you as a family,” she wrote.
Also reacting to the call out, Kanu queried, saying, “Who is wooing who?”
He added: “Osaze, I am still going to choose family over everything else. My reaching out to you over a situation you passed through, or you reaching me can never be taken out of context as a Family. You got this one completely wrong my dear brother. ONE LOVE.”

There are way too many dinosaurs in Nigeria. You need to start thinking outside the box people. What is wrong with being friendly with one another? Sex is not the be all of everything. Just because a woman wants to be friendly with you does not necessarily mean they want to jump into your bed, nor do they need their so-called husband’s permission to make casual friends. How is this country ever going to make any reasonable progress if every action is resolved to sexuality. Our so called culture is boxing us in like domesticated animals in a cage. If we are calling for a revolution, this is a very good starting point – dump the culture. Our culture for all intents and purposes is like a big ball of concrete attached to a chain which is strung around our ankles, thus preventing us from expressing our freedom of thought, movement and association.
I think something is wrong with Odewinge with his outburst. As a family friend,if he is not comfortable with the message from Mrs Kanu, the vest thing Peter would have done was to reach out to Kanu or tell the husband to call rather going public. The language of wooing used is the most uncharitable.
Odemwingie is a fool who wants to be wise through faking stories to be on top.
If you’re wise, you would have called Kanu to inform him to caution his wife, that’s maturity not coming to social media to seek fake relevance.
Please part well with your childish brain.
He is not a fool. I blame him for making it public but there should be a limit on housewife roaming about on internet. The woman is guilty too. They spend their time sending useless messages having no time to take care of their children. Why going about sending messages to another woman’s husband. Do you know what is going on in Odemwinge matrimonial home now. His wife may suspect him and Kanu wife and the man want to come clean. We should all blame Kanu wife and advise her to face her family.
That’s nature reaction. Someone is not matured! Even if the wife admire you, that does not mea. Chasing you or thinking of sleeping you. One can just admire someone. But you to go about bragging is arrogance and disrespect to the man in question.
From this reaction, you can see how foolish you look odwmiwigwe. You made joke of yourself.
