Chief Olu Falae
By Kazeem Ugbodaga
Former Presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in 1999, Chief Olu Falae has raised the alarm over invasion of his farm by Fulani herdsmen in Ondo State.
He said Fulani herdsmen should not be allowed to kidnap him again for the second time as they did in September 2015.
Falae, in a letter addressed to the Commander of the state security outfit, Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, said in the last few weeks, Fulani herdsmen came into his maize farm twice to eat up and trample large sessions of the farm.
He said he reported the incidents to Alhaji Bello, Chairman Meiyetti Allah for Ondo State, but that nothing had happened.
Falae added that in the last few days, the Fulani herdsmen had gone to attack his citrus farm by stealing, harvesting oranges and destroying what they could not carry away.
He said the police on security duty on the farm were sent to drive the herdsmen away, but that they had been coming back every night to attack his workers in the camp, breaking their door and carting away all their belongings.
Falae appealed to the commander to let Amotekun save him and his livelihood, saying they should not allow them to kidnap him again.

The governor of Ondo state should send a bill on Anti – Grazing Bill now to the Ondo State House of Assembly for immediate passing the bill into law and let it become law to tackle the issue of herdsmen menance in the state.
Fortunately, Ekiti/Oyo/Osun had put the law in place let Ondo State do something in that regard quickly. This was the law Benue state governor put in place to check the excesses of the herdmen in Benue state when they where going out of hand and he the Benue state governor put necessary political will in place too to implement the law.
Oyo state just started their own law with Amotekun Security Network to implement and ensure anybody who break the law is arrested and prosecuted.
Ondo state should quickly put the law in place and deploy Amotekun to arrest anybody who breaks the law jail the herdsmen and auction the cow they used in destroying farmlands.
If anybody cares to listen, Fulanis have started the war against south already. The tricks they are using is very clear and simply. “If we can’t face south directly, let’s use Taqiyya tactics.” That is,kill some.when they shout, stop killing. Come another time and do the same. Secondly, let us occupy military and decide who gets who. Mob up their enviroment of small weapons by using Police Force as a cover up. Gradually, southerners are reducing unknowingly to their leaders before the final manslaughter would take place. I only pity the vunelrable ones who have nothing to defend themselves. Unfortunately, those leaders who are aware of these tactics are not ready to defend their people. Rather, they are relocating their family members abroad and buying houses there. Because they knew that it will soon happen. Only the youths can deliver their land now
Elder Statesman who served as a Finance Minister and secretary to the Government and ex presidential candidate is crying for help. So where are all the Yorubas who were shouting sai Baba 5 years ago, whereas the dubious Oba Akiolu who said either Igbos vote for APC or perish in Lagoon. I am sorry for those Yorubas who followed Tinunbu to the grave. One Nigeria my foot. When people like jasper, Nkem ,Cle, and many were advising Yorubas against granting up with Fulanis against Jonathan, they did not believe or listen. People why are we not asking why we have arabic/islamic inscriptions on the Naira and on the Nigerian arm forces emblems?. Why is Zamfara is keeping their gold and SS oil is shared?. Why does the North hate beer but partake in the accrued VAT?. Make una shine your eyes, my uncle in Jamaica always said Be ready alotta things agwan
Are we now living in a lawless country?
Even there’s no regard for even our elders ?
Are we becoming a lawless country?
Can we do the constitutional amendment and go back to our good old Western Region?
Without RUGA or Water resources bill, these hausa/ fulani herdsmen/ bandits are this vicious and ungovernable, what would happen when they enjoy legal backing? Chief Falae is the equivalence of an Hausa Emir or Sultan apart from his national standing. If he is not safe and secure in his domain who else and where else? We live in interesting times.
The Fulani herdsmen killers are destroying lives and properties in the whole of southern states without arrests and prosecutions.
I’m saddened that people like Tinubu sees himself as a political leader yet he has opted to remain silent and unperturbed in the face or needless provocations, brutality and injustices from the Fulani herdsmen killers led federal government just because of personal, political and other pecuniary considerations.
What a political pestilence. What a situation. I take a stroll. Nonsense.
Where is the Jagaban Tinubu? Is he listening? Nigeria is truly an unfortunate place to live with the feudalists of the north.
It is astonishing and regrettable that people are no longer safe and carry out their business in Nigeria. People can not safely go about farming activities without fear of being kidnapping and killing. Nigeria is gone. If the center can not hold, let go back to regional government or ‘de-amagamate”
AMOTEKUN over to you.
