Trump: says he is still in the race to retain White House

U.S. President Donald Trump said he is not throwing in the towel yet as Joe Biden takes control of the crucial state of Pennsylvania.

With at least a minimum 253 electoral college votes already won, Pennsylvania will give him the 20 additional votes to win the presidency, with 273 votes.

Biden is also in the pole position to win more electoral college votes in Arizona and Georgia, where votes are still being tallied.

With all indications that Biden’s victory is assured, the Trump campaign announced “the election is not over.”

“The false projection of Joe Biden as the winner is based on results in four states that are far from over,” wrote campaign general counsel Matt Morgan.

“Georgia is headed for a recount, where we are confident we will find ballots improperly harvested, and where President Trump will ultimately prevail,” the statement continued without providing any factual evidence that voter fraud had actually happened.

In Pennsylvania, there were “many irregularities including having election officials prevent our volunteer legal observes from having meaningful access to vote counting locations”.

Morgan claimed the campaign was “deprived of valuable time” and “denied the transparency we are entitled to under state law,” the statement said.

The remarks come after the Trump campaign won a court hearing in the state to have an equal amount of witnesses in the ballot counting room.

In Nevada, where Biden is also expected to win, the campaign baselessly claimed there “appear[s]” to be thousands of individuals who improperly cast mail ballots.”

In a last-ditch effort to hang on to the presidency, the campaign pointed to Arizona, a state that was called for Biden by the Associated Press and Fox News days ago.

Morgan said they were “on course to win … despite the irresponsible and erroneous ‘calling’ of the state” by the outlets.

“Biden is relying on these states for his phony claim on the White House, but once the election is final, President Trump will be re-elected,” Morgan added.
