Obaseki: Edo state has worst COVID-19 death ratio

Obaseki leads Ize-Iyamu

Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party is cruising ahead of his APC counterpart, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as results from local councils were declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

According to the collated results of the governorship election announced in 16 LGAs on Sunday Obaseki is ahead with 281,851 votes.

APC’s Ize-Iyamu has 202,525.

The PDP candidate won in 11 councils, while Ize-Iyamu won in five, one of them being Adams Oshiomhole’s LG of Etsako West.

The results of the last two councils are being awaited. The councils are Orhionmwon and Ovia South West.
