Bayern Munich on Friday demolished Barcelona 8-2 to reach Champions League Semi-final.

This is the biggest defeat for Barcelona in the history of Champions League.

It is worse than the 7-1 it suffered on two legs to Bayern some years ago, but the 8-2 demolition is on one leg.

As early as four minutes into the game, Thomas Muller gave Bayern the lead. He has acres of space after latching on to a precise pass into the box. He did not hesitate to unleash a great effort which ended up in the bottom left corner.

But Barcelona equalised on 7th minute through David Alaba’s own goal. The Bayern player suffered a good deal of misfortune as he accidentally puts a pass from one of the attacking players into his own net.

Bayern soon restored their lead on 22nd minute through a superb goal from great team play. Ivan Perisic latched on to a perfect pass and fired an excellent low shot inside the right post.

Serge Gnabry quickly added a third goal for Bayern on 28th minute, pouncing on a loose ball inside the box and beats the goalkeeper with a shot into the bottom left corner.

It was 4-1 on 31st minute, as Muller got his brace, unleashing a first-time shot from inside the box and beats the goalkeeper into the bottom right corner.

Barcelona reduced the tally to 2-4 on 57th minute, after an amazing individual effort from Luis Suarez ended with a strike from inside the penalty area. He sent the ball precisely into the bottom right corner.
