President Buhari: orders speedy, coordinated investigation into NDDC crisis

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been dissolved.

The decision was reached at the National Executive Council, NEC, meeting of the party in Abuja on Thursday.

Bashir Ahmed, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari disclosed this on his Twitter handle.

He said the decision followed the recommendation of Buhari that the National Working Committee (NWC) be dissolved.

The NEC meeting had begun earlier in the day at the State House, Abuja.

President Buhari, VP Osinbajo, Governors and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Party and other members of the NEC were in attendance.

At the meeting, Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni was appointed as the chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC)’s caretaker committee and extraordinary national convention.

With the Caretaker Committee emerging, the National Convention of the party is fixed to hold within six months.
