American Popstar, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter also known as Beyonce offered some words of wisdom during a candid commencement speech she delivered to 2020 graduates.

In a video shared online, Beyonce highlighted the need for 2020 graduates to be self-aware and to be dogged in the pursuit of their goals.

She admonished the new graduates to ignore naysayers and not allow failure to discourage them from trying again.

In her inspirational speech, the formation singer recounted that she has won 24 Grammy but not everyone is aware she was nominated and lost the Academy Award 46 times.

“Not enough Black women had a seat at the table, so I had to chop down that wood and build my own table. Then I had to invite the best there was to have a seat. That meant hiring women, men, outsiders, underdogs. And I’ve been very proud to provide them with a place at my table.”

“Put in that work,” was quoted saying is her secret to success.

“There may be more failures than victories. Please don’t ever feel entitled to win!

“I have been blessed to win 24 Grammys but I lost 46 times, that meant rejection 46 times. Surrender to the cards you are dealt! Losing can be the biggest motivator to get you even bigger wins.”
