Nigeria’s coronavirus cases hit 12,233, Lagos on decline

Nigeria reached a new coronavirus caseload of 12,233 on Saturday night.

But Lagos share of the burden is fast declining.

From the new confirmed cases of 389 reported for the day, Lagos recorded just 66.

This figure followed the trend of diminishing incidents in the state since 30 May, when it posted 378 cases.

On May 31, number of Lagos cases fell to 188.

June 1, it was 192, June 2 was 142 and 3 June 163.

The state recorded its lowest figure in recent times on June 4.. It posted 102 cases.

And on 5 June it was 121. Today’s figure of 66 amounts to 50% of that.

Lagos was followed on Saturday by the FCT Abuja with 50 cases.

Delta registered 32 cases, Oyo 31, Borno 26 and Rivers 24.

Edo and Ebonyi states reported 23 cases each.

Anambra and Gombe also got 17 cases each.

Nasarawa state reported 14 cases, while Kano, also fading out like Lagos, tied with Sokoto, Imo with 12 cases.
