Dwayne The Rock Johnson: sends message to Trump

Hollywood actor, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has delivered a scathing critique of President Donald Trump over his poor response to the George Floyd protests.

In the eight-minute video posted on Instagram, the 48 year-old actor slammed Trump for not showing compassion as a leader.

And he repeatedly asked: Where are you? Where is our compassionate leader?

Floyd died on 25 May in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He died in the course of an aggressive arrest which saw four police officers restrain him on the ground.

One of the officers, Derek Chauvin, knelt on his neck for eight minutes as Floyd cried out: ‘I can’t breathe.’

Trump has been heavily criticised for ‘hiding’ during protests outside the White House in Washington DC.

Dwayne captioned his Instagram post: ‘Where are you?.

In the video, Dwayne echoed the sentiments and explained that while he’s not a politician, he is a father concerned about his children ‘and the world they will live in. I care so deeply about our country and every single person in it’.
