Oba Oyeniyi Olabisi, the Okere of Saki has pledged his undying support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
While receiving guests, the monarch said that the success of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration is a priority to Saki sons and daughters.
Members of the Coalition of Grassroots Volunteers Against COVID-19 (COGVAC-19) visited the king in his palace.
The Oba said; “Your visit to Saki today is very timely. Celebration of the governor’s one year in office is ongoing and the people of Saki are part of it.
“Makinde is our project and the success of his administration is a topmost priority for the indigenes of Saki land. We believe in this government and will give all to support it.
“We have suffered in the past. Most of the projects you see around were carried out by sons and daughters of Saki.
“Saki is a self-developed town. We lack social amenities and it’s quite unfortunate. Our roads are bad, though some already awarded. We have given our needs and bill of demand to the government.
“Now that we have people’s governor in charge of the state, we believe great things will start coming our way,” the monarch said.
“We are appreciative of the government’s concerns for our people. We say a big thank you to Makinde, the people’s governor for all his efforts to protect our people from contracting this horrible virus.
“The governor has also sited isolation centre here in Saki and work is ongoing. The centre is a 100-bed capacity hospital, owned by the state government,” he said.
The monarch confirmed receipt of palliatives from the state government and described it as a good gesture toward the masses.
