By Taiwo Okanlawon
A Nigerian model scout, Benjamin Ese has called out Nigerian musician and entrepreneur, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, better known as D’banj, accusing him of raping his friend 2 years ago.
This is coming after the singer made a post on his Instagram page speaking against rape.
The Koko Master joined the campaign against sexual violence and demanded justice for rape victims in an Instagram post.
“#NoMeansNo We Need to Raise Our Sons right and Teach them to love and Respect Women .We Need Justice for Our GIRLS…Say NO to Rape, Racism, tribalism. Let us stop living in FEAR and HATE ,and start living in LOVE .🙏🙏🙏,” he wrote.
Benjamin then made a post saying the singer had no right to speak against rape, accused him of being a rapist and of raping her friend.
He said D’Banj offered the friend in question money in exchange for sex, and she refused.
According to him, the incident happened in a hotel in Victoria Island, D’Banj collected the spare key of the girl’s hotel room from the receptionist and allegedly raped her in there.
Although he didn’t mention the name of his friend, he stated that she decided to keep quiet after the incident because of the stigma.
