Senator Munirudeen Muse: dies in Lagos

Senator Munirudeen Adekunle Muse, who represented Lagos Central in the Senate is dead.

His death was announced by his son, Sulaimon Muse, in a post on Facebook Tuesday.

“Innalillah wahina ilayi rojiun”, he wrote.

“I just lost a very caring and kind-hearted father.

“Senator Munirudeen Adekunle Muse

“I pray Allah forgive him his shortcomings and grant him al-janatul firdaows.

Muse, a former council chairman, occupied the Lagos Central seat between 2007 and 2011.

He was succeeded by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who is now on a third term.

Sulaimon Muse said he saw his father on Friday at the Lagos Central Mosque.

He didn’t know it was their last meeting.

He then went on to highlight his father’s religious commitment to Islam.

“Even as a Senator, when it is time for salat, he would order his driver to park,and branch into the nearest mosque. Senator Munirudeen Adekunle Muse May Allah forgive you and grant you al-janatul firdaows”, he wrote.
