Veteran Nollywood actresses, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Genevieve Nnaji have aired their thoughts on the murder of Tina Ezekwe and Vera Omozuwa.

17-year-old Tina was killed in Lagos on Tuesday by a trigger-happy policeman.

The police officer shot the unarmed teenager in an attempt to arrest a bus diver who violated curfew in the state.

However, 22-year-old Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa was gang-raped and clubbed to death by unidentified persons.

The incident took place on the night of Wednesday last week, inside the Ikpoba Hill branch of Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG) in Benin, Edo state.

Reacting to Omozua’s death, Omotola said the church and people around it should be held accountable.

“This is a very straight forward matter. This crime happened in a controlled environment. A church. This is an investigative issue. The church and ppl around it should be held accountable by her family. Nothing to protest here. Or am I missing any details?,” Omotola wrote on Twitter.

On Tina’s death, Omotola said: “How can Black ppl Anywhere be Respected by others when they don’t get Respect at home?#PoliceBrutality Everywhere esp in Nigeria(most populous black nation in the world)Must STOP n justice on pending cases! Police are civil servants, not assassins! #JusticeForTina #JusticeForGeorge.”

Reacting on the sad incidents, Genevieve stated that justice will be achieved.

“They either abuse their power or have the power to abuse. In or out of uniform, we live in constant fear of men. Tina Ezekwe. Vera Omozuwa. Rest In Peace my darlings. We will get justice,” she wrote on Twitter.
