Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state, on Wednesday, flagged off the construction of a 350-vehicle capacity Lafia mega bus terminal.
This he did, as part of activities to mark his administration’s first anniversary.
According to him, the project would gulp N1.26 billion, and he deemed as a fulfilment of his administration’s commitment to providing the necessary infrastructure in the state.
The governor noted that a similar bus terminal was being constructed at the Karu axis of the state.
Other arrangements had also been concluded to be built in Akwanga and Keffi council areas of the state.
He pointed out that the bus terminal would serve as a hub for transportation activities in Lafia and its environs. Also, it would enhance the status of the state capital as a modern city.
