Katsina state will return to the lockdown mode from Wednesday morning as COVID-19 cases escalate.
Governor Aminu Masari said Katsina, Batagarawa and Daura council areas would be locked down from 7 a.m.
Katsina has a caseload of 337 COVID-19 cases, the NCDC said on Monday.
It is fourth behind, Lagos, Kano and Abuja FCT.
Out of the 337 cases, 215 were recorded from Katsina LGA.
Seventy-nine came from Daura, while the remaining 43 came from other councils.
The state has also recorded 18 deaths, while 51 patients have also been discharged.
Masari said he was worried by the rising cases and hoped the lockdown would curb the spread of the virus.
He disclosed that the state government would sign an MoU with Sahel Medicare Services.
The company would commence COVID-19 sample testing in the state.
And it is expected to test about 204 samples within 24 hours.
