All masked except President Buhari. Photo Bayo Omoboriowo
President Muhammadu Buhari, along with First Lady, Aisha came out Sunday for the Eid-el-Fitri in Aso Rock, unmasked.
In contrast, other family members and close aides wore masks for the prayer .
However, the first family blatantly breached COVID-19 rules when they surrounded the president for a photo.

President Muhammadu Buhari and his Immediate Family

Another pose: Buhari and his Immediate Family
There is no physical distancing of sort, a protocol prescribed by WHO and NCDC.
Caution was certainly thrown to the wind!
We expect Aso Rock to defend the seeming recklessness that endangers the President.
However, we expect them to know better because COVID-19 is on the rise in Nigeria.
On Saturday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, put the national caseload at 7,526.
So far 2174 people have been discharged and 221 people have died.

This looks like irresponsible sensationalism. Many are already suffering from COVID-19 syndrome even without the virus in their systems. How do you prescribe that members of the same family living together should maintain physical distancing? The writer seems ignorant of the essence of distancing. Aren’t we carrying criticism too far?
Sai Baba, even Post 2023
You got that right. The writer is just Jealous and I will advise him to get a life.
Absolute nonsense, how do u describe recklessness? Are they not the same immediate family?
I wonder ooooo!
Lawlessness is what you get when you have a man without certificate as your President. Ordinarily, a man with certificate will minimally keep the basic rules of law and order.
Obviously, this President is not a good role model to the progressives nor to the Nigerian youths. What a bad influence to the country.
Injustices, prejudices, flagrant disregard to lay down rules is the major reason Nigeria is going down and down under this President that seemingly act and portray himself as being above the law.
This is a man who claimed that fuel subsidy under Jonathan was a scam but ended up having subsidies well over 500% than Jonathan.
This is a man who promised that if voted into power, he would convert most presidential planes to national carriers. Not only did he not keep his promise, it was revealed recently that his daughter Zahra has one plane for herself.
Under Jonathan’s government this President said that attack on Boko Haram is attack on the north, ironically, he has spent billions of dollars fighting the same Boko Haram.
This is a President who called for revolution under Obasanjo’s government but when Sowore called for revolution under him, he threw him to jail.
This is a President who said that he won the 2015 election because of the electoral reform under Jonathan but vehemently opposed to signing it to be used in 2019 election.
Nigeria has never had it so bad like under this uninspiring, wicked, sadistic, Nepotistic, inefficient, ineffective, unproductive, oppressive, obtrusive, unimaginative classless, clueless, aimless and thoughtless President that would ultimately go down in history as the worst President Nigeria ever had.
Nigeria has come to a dead end with this president in power. What a failed government.
What a needless change Nigerians made in 2015. What a huge mistake. What a situation. I take a stroll. Nonsense.
why is it that the comment on President Muhammadu Buhari and his household is always negative the have not break any rule concerning corvid 19 he took a picture with his house hold the two meter rule does not apply when you are within your household with your family except there is any member that is showing the symptoms synonymous with corvid 19 it you don’t know the rule can you please refers to world health organization guidelines please
You seem to be too bitter addressing issues not raised in the idiotic news. How many politicians the world over keep all their promises or even half of it. There are promises you make but circumstances of the nation make impossible to keep; what do you do. If you promised free education on a $100pb oil and by the time you come to power it falls to $25pb what do you do. As a sensible person you’ll need to adjust. Stop being too bitter and wait for 2023 when you’ll have the opportunity to vote in a messiah.
Lol, so quality governance can only be provided by those with a secondary school certificate
Shows how much logic you learnt in school.
Bros, go screw yourself because Buhari will not go away till 2023.
D writer is trying to make a headline, u do not need mask at home with ur immediate family in as much none is a carrier
Very true and the writer is obviously biased and uninformed. As much as I’m not in support of PMB, there’s no point sensationalizing crap.
Where is Jasper’s comments?
Investigative Journalism, is a very serious business. There must be a very special reason why the President, has not being wearing mask. Your Correspondent, should’ve done his home work properly before coming out to embarrass himself. Too, social distancing, does not prevent a good family man, from taking good pictures, during festivity, with his immediate family members. We need to celebrate PMB, for finding time to celebrate the Eid-Mubarak with his family.
The writer is sick, who wears mask at home?
Exactly! I think the only place they wear masks is in the writer’s home.
The writer is filled with bitterness for buhari to the extent that he has lost his sanity..so you expect him to wear mask while in bed as well??
This news item is just too annoying and idiotic. It must be the work of an idiot
This writer is funny. Who wears mask in his home with his immidiate family? This guy is more or les a mad man or a hater. Buhari has done the best needed of him in this pandermic. You are not serious and am sure you do not even do anything .
I wonder what planet the writer comes from.
Get a life. Its his immediate family. I do so with my wife and children. Leave my president alone please.
The editor of this publication should also be blamed. Sensationalism is meant for rags and such publications.
This is completely misleading!
