Boko Haram terrorists strike again

More than 20 people in the Gajigana community in Borno state, who were preparing to break their Ramadan fast, have been killed by Boko Haram terrorists.

The terrorists drove into the community in trucks and shot indiscriminately, at the time people had let down their guards.

A member of the House of Assembly, Audu Mustapha said the attack happened on Sunday evening.

Abba Seriki, a member of the local vigilante group in the community, said residents, who ran in different directions, were tired and could not run too far to a safe place during the attack as “most of them had endured the Ramadan fast.”

At least 20 bodies were earlier prepared for burial on Monday.

But a few other wounded victims died at the hospital while receiving treatment, Seriki said.
