The Lagos State Government on Sunday announced the discharge of 15 more Coronavirus patients after they tested negative twice for the virus.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a statement, saying that those discharged included nine female and six male.

Sanwo-Olu said nine of the patients were from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba; five from he Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and one from Agidingbi Isolation centres.

The governor said this brought to 623 the total number of Coronavirus patients discharged so far in Lagos.

In his words: “Good people of Lagos, 15 more COVID19Lagos patients; 9 females and 6 males, all Nigerians have been discharged from our Yaba, Agidingbi and LUTH Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients, 9 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 5 from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and 1 from Agidingbi Isolation centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

“This brings to 623 the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos.”
