The confirmed COVID-19 cases across Africa rose from 78,194 on Saturday to 81,307 on Sunday, the Africa CDC said.
The virus has now spread into all of the 54 African countries, including Lesotho that cordoned itself off for months.
On 13 May, the high-altitude nation recorded its first case.
Africa CDC reported 1,585 new recoveries, taking the total to 31,078.
The death toll also increased from 2,630 to 2,704 as of Sunday morning.
The Africa CDC currently estimates fatality rates of COVID-19 cases at 3.4 percent.
Figures from the Africa CDC also showed South Africa as the most affected with 14,335 confirmed cases.
Egypt follows with 11,719 cases, Morocco 6,741 and Algeria 6,821 confirmed cases.
