Kano has confirmed that 47 medical workers in the state tested positive to the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
Dr Tijjani Husaain, the Coordinator, Kano State Taskforce on COVID-19, made the disclosure at a news conference of the Taskforce on COVID-19, on Sunday in Kano.
Hussain said that the health workers were confirmed in the past weeks, noting that no new case was recorded among health personnel in the past few days.
He urged the people to adhere to the safety protocols, social distancing, use of face mask and the lockdown order.
Currently, Kano has 576 confirmed cases of the disease, with 29 new cases and 32 discharged.
