The Mobile Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has convicted 170 defaulters arrested during lockdown of some parts of the State occasioned by Coronavirus outbreak.

The Attorney- General, Rivers State, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor, secured the convictions of the 170 defaulters before the Port Harcourt Mobile Courts sitting at General Yakubu Gowon Stadium Elekahia for violation of the Executive Order RVSG 06 2020 ,which imposed complete lockdown and prohibits human and vehicular movement in Port Harcourt City and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas.

The Attorney- General, Adangor, advised residents of the two local government areas to comply with the Executive Order No. RVSG 06, 2020 and other extant regulations to avoid prosecution.

Governor Nyesom Wike had on Thursday arrested 200 people who violated the lockdown in some parts of the State.
