Emir of Ilorin felicitates with Olofa over 10 years on throne

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has described the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, as an asset to humanity as he clocks 10 years on the throne.

The monarch stated this in his congratulatory message to Oba Gbadamosi, the Esuwoye II.

The message was signed by Sulu-Gambari’s Media Aide, Malam Abdulazeez Arowona, in Ilorin, on Friday.

Sulu-Gambari expressed joy over the feats and landmark achievements attracted to the ancient city of Offa since his enthronement.

“The enthronement of Oba Gbadamasi to the exalted stool of Offa Kingdom has attracted tremendous growth and development to the community

“Oba Esuwoye II has sustained the annual Ijakadi cultural festival, which has over the years served as a unifying factor for the Offa indigenes home and abroad.

“He is an asset to humanity with exemplary attitudes of tolerance, humility, and excellence.

“He introduced modernization to the throne, without altering the norms and traditions existing from time immemorial, ” Sulu-Gambari said

The royal father also thanked the entire people of Offa, religious groups, associations, Offa Descendant Union, (ODU), friends, and well-wishers for standing firmly by Oba Esuwoye II in the last 10 years.

Sulu-Gambari urged the people of Offa to continue to support the monarch with fervent prayers, to live long on the throne in a bid to achieve more for the community and humanity at large.

Offa monarch was presented the staff of office on May 8, 2010, by Dr. Bukola Saraki, who was the then Kwara State governor.
