Katsina is the 7th worst hit state by the virus. It has 83 cases, 37 of which were reported on Monday night.

Masari said there was no other ulterior motive to the decision to quarantine the palace.

“The Palace is a place where people visit all the time. We take this decision to contain spread of Coronavirus.
