Brymo and Bollylomo

Nigerian singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, better known as Brymo, and Nollywood actor, Gbolahan Olatunde also known as Bollylomo have both reacted to the rape allegations levelled against them.
The duo trended on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter on Wednesday night for alleged sexual assault after a Twitter user, @Biliquis_X, shared a series of stories of alleged victims recounting how they were raped.
According to the victim in the shared story, she visited Brymo with a friend, only for the singer to sexually assault the pair.
However, Brymo’s manager, Gift Adene of KFN reportedly revealed that the singer is not commenting on the accusation as his lawyers have been briefed to take necessary actions.
The manager said; “Brymo is not going to comment on that issue, I am his manager and we wouldn’t want to comment on this issue, as they will hear from our lawyer soon.”
When asked if their silence means acceptance of the allegation, the manager replied;
“I don’t, what the media or anybody wants to call it like I said, we are going to go legal on the issue”.
Also, Bollylomo in a statement released on his social media on Thursday, said this is not the first time he has been accused falsely of rape.
According to him, rather than react to the allegations on Twitter, he has informed his lawyers about the allegations.
“Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, A Twitter user yesterday, came out to falsely accuse me of sexual assault/rape and has proceeded to make several false, derogatory and defamatory statements against my person,” the statement read.
“This is not an allegation I take lightly and as such, I have contacted my lawyers and given them a full brief on the issue, hence the reason for my delayed response in addressing these false allegations.
“While I do not wish to further fuel this flagrant falsehood, as this is not the first time these kinds of allegations of rape/sexual assault has been leveled against my person which I didn’t address as it was an unsubstantiated attempt to smear my name.
“Considering the severity of these allegations, I deem it pertinent to state that I, Gbolahan Olatunde aka “Bollylomo”, categorically deny these allegations and state that I have never raped any person.”
