Ogun state government in the bid to stop the spread of coronavirus would begin to monitor its residents today and anyone found not using the face mask would be dealt with.

Ogun state governor Prince Dapo Abiodun had earlier last week Friday 24 of April 2020 when speaking with newsmen at his resident in Iperu-Remo, announced that the state government taskforce on COVID-19 will begin to monitor from today May 1st 2020 and anyone found not using the face mask would be considered to have the virus and will spend 14 days in isolation.

“We are working against the spread of this COVID-19. As from May 1, it will be compulsory for everybody in the State to wear a face mask. We deliberately delayed enforcing it so that our people can have enough time to get their own. After May 1, anyone who fails to wear face mask will be viewed as deliberately planning to infect others and will be arrested and put in our isolation centres and made to carry out community service,” Abiodun said.
