The poor slum settlers at the Adetomiwa Village of the G. Cappa, Area of Ogombo Road Ajah, Lagos heaved a sigh of relief recently when the Managing Director of Silver Circle Global Services, Mr. Olugbenga Yakubu, donated foodstuff mainly Rice, Garri, Tomatoes, and Cash to them as palliatives to cushion the effects of the lockdown for the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus in the state.

The over 100 beneficiaries jubilated and praised Yusuf for his humane consideration in coming to their aid when the pinch of the stay-at-home was taking critical turn on their daily survival.

Speaking at the event while disturbing the items, Yakubu stated; “I decided to give back to the poor people in Adetomiwa Village, Ajah, Lagos, to reduce the pain they are facing due to the lockdown for the prevention of the spread of coronavirus in the state and more importantly to thank Almighty God for his blessings and I will continue to provide for the poor residents.

“I am using this opportunity to advise you all residents to continue to adhere strictly to the lockdown directives despite the hardship you may be facing for now so that together we would collectively fight the coronavirus pandemic to a logical end.

Commenting on the gesture by Yakubu, the Baale of Adetomiwa Village, Ajah Lagos, Chief Saudeen Adeniyi described the gesture by Yakubu as exemplary that challenges the privileged ones who unlike Yakubu are only particular about themselves and their families and do not bother at all for the interest of the masses.

“Yakubu has provided foodstuff for my residents up to five times since the lockdown commenced and I am appealing to other wealthy Nigerians to emulate Yakubu,” Adeniji stated.
