IGP Mohammed Adamu: dissociates Police from suit challenging judicial panels on SARS

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered the posting of new police Commissioners to Imo, Adamawa and Plateau states.

CP Olugbenga Adeyanju is now the new police boss in Adamawa, while Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede is the new boss of Imo Police command.

Adeyanju replaces Philip Maku in Adamawa, while Akinmoyede is being transferred from Plateau to Imo.

Akinmoyede will replace Bolaji Olaniyi Fafowora in Imo. The latter was posted to the state in January this year.

Edward Chuks Egbuka was announced as the new commissioner for Plateau Command.

In the new deployments, CP Audu Adamu Madaki will now report at FCID, FHQ, Abuja.

All the postings are with immediate effect, said police spokesman DCP Frank Mba.

While enjoining the citizens of the affected States to accord the CPs maximum support and cooperation, the IGP charged the newly posted officers to ensure that they effectively consolidate and improve on the performances of their predecessors.
