Maada Bio of Sierra Leone: in quarantine for COVID-19

President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio has now spent three days on self-quarantine.

He took the step after one of his security guards tested positive of the COVID-19.

Sierra Leone has very low level of COVID-19 cases.

The number of cases reached 82 with 18 new cases confirmed on Friday.

The country’s health authorities said a total of 10 people have recovered..

Ghana has recorded 125 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total number to 1,279, the Ghana Health Service said on Friday.

There are 134 discharged cases.

Ghana lifted its lockdown on the hardest-hit regions on Monday.

Ivory Coast reported additional 52 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the country’s total to 1,004, according to Health Minister Eugene Aka Aouele.
