Dr. Tomi Coker, the Commissioner for Health in Ogun said the three new cases of coronavirus in the state were Nigerians from Togo.

They were heading to Sokoto and Jos.

She disclosed this in Abeokuta during an inspection of the ICU of a 250-bed public hospital at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Coker toured the facility along with representatives of the NCDC and the WHO.

She said that the three new cases were among the eight returnees from Togo.

The commissioner added that three of the returnees tested positive to the virus within 48 hours of testing.

Five tested negative, while the results of two others are being awaited.
