The President of Nigerian Youth Congress, Blessing Akinlosotu has described the death of Mallam Abba Kyari the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR as a great shock that leaves many emotionally lifeless.

Akinlosotu in a release he personally signed said, “It is saddening to hear about the demise of the late Chief of Staff to the President, who dedicated his entire life to the service of mankind. Kyari died of Novel Coronavirus Pandemic “COVID 19” rampaging the entire globe. He contracted the virus on a trip to Germany in February this year.

“We pray for the repose of his soul and believe that it is Allah that gives life and takes. Our condolences go to the family of Abba Kyari and the President of Nigeria. We hope the Lord will give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“With the latest developments, we strongly want to advise the Federal Government of Nigeria to take the case of coronavirus very seriously. The Government of Nigeria should see this as a wake-up call to intensify effort in the improvement of our health sector and adhere strictly to the preventive measures already put in place.

“The lives of many citizens of Nigeria will be at risk if we don’t improve our preventive measures and control the spread of the virus. We also hope that the President will immediately release palliatives that can sustain people to further stay at home and stop the spread of the virus.”
