“Representatives from WHO and Ministry of Health, Kenya, were there to receive the cargo that landed in Nairobi, Kenya, this afternoon.

“Health workers are most vulnerable to COVID-19, so they must take measures to prevent the spread of the virus and stay healthy,’’ WHO said.

WHO, also in a statement posted on its website, stated that the cargo which departed Addis Ababa on Tuesday, was transported by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).

The cargo transported face shields, gloves, goggles, gowns, masks, medical aprons, and thermometers, as well as ventilators.
