Nigerian singer and songwriter, Olawale Ashimi Ọlọfọrọ best known as Brymo is currently trending on social media over the spate of tweets he sent during an exchange he had with some non-fans who tried to talk down his art.

This is coming weeks after he released his eighth project and seventh studio album, titled “Yellow”.

The award-winning singer via his social media pages — Instagram and Twitter — announced the album’s release, describing it as an “all-pop electronic album about love and survival”

However, A Twitter user stated that Davido, Wizkid and Burna boy are all better than Brymo and that his music released since the past five years can’t be compared to what those guys have recently. But Brymo seemingly rubbished three of them by claiming to have no idea who they are.

Brymo started it all by telling the ‘non-fans’ on social media to tell their favourite artistes to take a two year break and see if their music will still be felt.

He tweeted: “Make your fav take a two-year break make we see who go listen to them on return”.

The twitter used fired at him saying:

“Bros rest. Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido are above u, I noticed you have been chasing clout since that comparison 3 days ago. Burna Biy’s African Giant Album, Wizkid’s Soundman EP, Davido’s bmm and risky. None of your music released over the past 5 years makes wave like the above body of work I mentioned”.

Brymo responded saying: “Who are those?”

Some months ago, Brymo declared himself Nigeria’s artiste of the decade. The Alternative rock and Folk music singer further went on to brag about his music abilities and the success of his “Oleku” and “Ara” songs which undoubtedly recorded massive airplay.

Brymo who has been placed in the category of artistes that are no longer relevant stood up to fight the minds of Nigerians.
