Gov. Babagana Zulum of Borno has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to move decisively against Boko Haram, following Chad’s military action.
The Chadian soldiers flushed the terrorists out of their soil, especially the Lac Province and pursued them into Nigeria and Niger, killing over 1,000 of them.
The Chadians attacked Boko Haram fighters after they attacked a military base, killing 91 soldiers and looting the armoury.
Zulum said he has told the President to deal once and for all with the Boko Haram menace.
”After critically analysing the situation, we both expressed the belief that time has come to once and for all put to an end the senseless acts of terror by Boko Haram and other criminal elements operating in the region,” he said.
