Cabinet members and other senior government officials in Rwanda have promised to donate their April salary to show solidarity with their compatriots under coronavirus lockdown.

The Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday commended all its citizens for their continued support and adherence to government measures against the spread of coronavirus.

The government had declared a nationwide lockdown last Wednesday and extended it for two more weeks until April 19 as a preventive measure to curb the spread of the pandemic.
