Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina State has directed workers in the state’s civil service to resume work today to provide skeletal service.
The government had earlier directed workers to stay at home as part of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The state’s Head of Service, Alhaji Idris Tune, said workers would from today provide skeletal services from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. daily.
He said the new arrangement would be maintained for one week.
However, all public and private schools, including tertiary, secondary and primary schools will remain closed untill further notice.
Tune urged the workers reporting for to continue to observe social distancing and consistent washing of hands.
He also asked them to use sanitisers to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
