Odion Jude Ighalo with Manchester United jersey No. 25. Now his Chinese Club Shanghai Shenhua want him back
Shanghai Shenhua want Odion Ighalo to return to China by offering an irresistible £400,000 weekly wage in a new contract.
Ighalo, who is on loan to Manchester United, is at present on £300,000 weekly wage at the club.
He took a 40 per cent wage cut to play for United and now craves to have a permanent switch.
The Chinese club may have scuppered Manchester United’s permanent transfer plans by offering Ighalo the staggering pay rise.
The 30-year-old Nigerian has been an instant hit at Old Trafford since his January loan move.
Ighalo has scored four goals in his first three starts.
United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted he hoped to make Ighalo’s loan move a permanent one if he continued his fine form until the end of the campaign.
