
Dr Aliyu Muhammad Maigoro: announces Bauchi’s second case of coronavirus
Bauchi State confirmed its second case of coronavirus on Thursday.
He is an unidentified 62 year-old person, a friend of Governor Bala Mohammed.
The governor tested positive on Tuesday.
The state commissioner for health, Dr. Aliyu Muhammad Maigoro, announced this at a press conference in Bauchi.
He said 48 blood samples went for testing and two came back as positive.
So far, 37 samples tested negative, while the results of nine samples are awaited.
He also said the ministry has begun the tracing of the contacts of the second case.
