Garba Shehu reads Buhari’s message to Yahaya Bello, with Abba Kyari in sight.

Malam Abba Kyari, President Buhari’s Chief of staff, diagnosed with coronavirus had contacts with many people since his return from Germany 14 March.

One of them was Garba Shehu, a spokesperson to President Buhari.

On 17 March, Garba Shehu was part of the team led by Kyari to deliver Buhari’s message to Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello at the prayers marking the eighth days since the death of Bello’s mum.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, left, Garba Shehu, second right were also at the event.

Lai Mohammed, Senator George Akume, and other top officials were at the event.

However, on Tuesday, Garba Shehu took to his Twitter handle to thank God for the current status of his health.

He didn’t clarify the status.

“Allah is the giver of health. I am pleased with my current health endowment. Alhamdu Lillah!,” He wrote on Twitter.

Garba Shehu attended a public event on Saturday

However, it should be noted that Garba Shehu attended a public event on the 21st of March, 2020.

The presidential aide even invited Nigerians to join him at the event despite announcements against large gatherings by the Federal government and states government.

Garba Shehu’s invitation came at a point when Nigeria had confirmed 12 cases of the deadly virus.

“Please find time to join us at the Barewa Old Boys Association (BOBA), 2020 Annual Leadership Lecture, where I will be speaking on ‘Media and Democracy: Challenge of Journalism.

“His excellency, Governor Nasir @elrufai is expected to Chair the occasion, with the Ministers of Defence and FCT as special guests,” Shehu tweeted on Saturday.
