Manchester United loan striker, Odion Ighalo has urged football lovers to stay positive about the coronavirus pandemic.

The health crisis in the world presently has put football action on hold in the English Premier League and there are concerns that this season may be declared null and void.

The United front man has now told The Sun  that staying safe is what matters.

He said: “Of course I miss football, like other players and fans. But lives matter. Staying safe and alive is the biggest game in the world now and we all have a role to play in it.

With the virus in full display all over the world, Ighalo does not want to consider his contract situation at United- with his deal set to expire in the summer-, branding it ‘selfish’ and ‘terribly insensitive’ to talk about his contract situation in this period.
