Coronavirus: Zamfara college suspends academic activities

The management of Zamfara State College of Arts and Science, Gusau has announced the suspension of academic activities in obedience to a directive by the state government.

A statement signed by the Registrar of the College, Alhaji Haruna Kubbaniya, stated that the closure was part of proactive measures against the spread of the dreaded Coronavirus.

It said that academic activities in the college would be shut down for 30 days, from Monday, March 23, 2020.

“To this effect, all students are by this notice directed to vacate the college, especially those living in the hostels, on or before the 23rd March 2020,” the statement said.

The management urged students to pray for an end to the pandemic within the stipulated time so that normalcy could return not only in Zamfara but in Nigeria and the entire world.
