In the Nigeria of today where moral decadence is fast becoming the order of the day, it is almost becoming a norm to see youngsters having children out of wedlock, especially among celebrities.
It is also alarming, the rate at which the entertainment space keeps recording a growing number of baby daddies, who have either chosen to be one or are there by accident.
For the celebrities, it is as though it is easier to be a baby daddy as some of them seem to find the status more convenient while imploring others to join the bandwagon.
A number of Nigerian ‘A’List’ celebrities prefer to be baby daddies rather than settle down in marriage as it comes to them easily to have children with two, three or more women.
The good thing about this trend is that at the end of the day, these celebrity dads with a propensity to procreate are not only financially supporting their children. They are also being present fathers, which is even more critical.
Below are 12 of the Nigerian celebrity baby daddies we have put together in no particular order.
1. Tuface Idibia
‘African queen’ crooner and one of Nigeria’s music legends, Innocent Idibia is one who became popular for having children with several women, one of which he is married to. He married Annie Macaulay but has children with Pero Adeniyi and Sunmbo Ajaba. His children are Isabel, Nino, Zion, Justin, Rose, Innocent and Olivia.
2. Davido
American-born Nigerian music star, David Adedeji Adeleke, widely known as Davido, is a prominent baby daddy with 3 children that are known to the public from three different women – Sophie Momodu, Hailey Veronica and Chioma Avril Rowland. His children are Imade Adeleke, Hailey Adeleke and David Adeleke Jnr. Davido is currently engaged to Chioma Avril Rowland, David Adeleke Jnr’s mum.
3. Wizkid
Popstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid is always in the news for one baby daddy issues to another. Wizkid has fathered three kids from three different women – Oluwanisola Ogudugu, Binta Diallo and Jada Pollock. His children are Boluwatife Balogun, Ayodeji Balogun and Zion Balogun.
4. Patoranking
Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, aka Patoranking is also on the list of Nigerian celebrities who are proud baby daddies. He is father to Rapharanking Okorie, his son and daughter, Wilmer Okorie.
5. Flavour N’abania
Afropop star, Chinedu Okoli a.k.a. Flavour N’abania is a proud daddy to two adorable baby girls from two Nigerian ex-beauty queens – Sandra Okagbue and Anna Banner.
6. Olamide
Nigerian rapper, Olamide Adedeji aka Badoo is the proud father of three kids from two women – Adebukumi Aisha Suleiman and Maria Okanrende. His children are Maximilian Boluwatife Adedeji, Tunrepin Myles Adedeji and Asaiah Monife Maria.
7. Kay Switch
Singer, Kehinde Oladotun Oyebanjo popularly known as Kay Switch and Liberian ex-beauty queen, Meenakshi Monica, have a baby girl together. His daughter’s name is Kalyami ‘Rain’ Oluwaseunara.
8. Jim Iyke
Multi-talented Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke is a proud father to his son, Harvis Chidubem Iyke. His boy was birthed by his Lithuanian baby mama, Dana Kinduryte.
9. Oritsefemi
‘Double Wahala’ crooner, Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele widely referred to as Oritsefemi has two daughters – Patience and Esther Majemite Ekele from two different women. The Ajegunle-bred singer is married to Nabila Fash who is not one of his baby mamas.
10. Timaya
DM Record boss and dancehall singer, Inetimi Timaya Odon aka Timaya has two girls and a son from two baby mamas. His children are Emma, Gracey and Emmanuel. His first two children are from his date of many years, Barbara, while the identity of Emmanuel’s mum remains unknown.
11. Ice Prince
Nigerian rapper, Panshak Zamani widely known as Ice Prince is not left out from the list of celebrity baby daddies. He welcomed his son, Jamal Zamani with his baby-mama, Bimbo Babatunde sometime in 2012.
12. D’Prince
Don Jazzy’s younger brother and Mavin singer, Charles Enebeli aka D’Prince, also has two children with his baby mama, Sharon Oparacho.
